WHAT IS NONA TALKS?

A one-day event to bring together industry and academic parties in the open-source app synthetic biology community. “Nona Talks” is focused on community building, idea generation, and education.

pRELIMINARY AGENDA
  • 10:00-11:00 – Coffee / snacks, informal area set up to meet/greet each other

  • 11:00-11:30 – Greeting and Presentation by Doug Densmore and Andrea Desrosiers

  • 11:30-12:15 – Late Morning Session: What is the role of Open Source in Synthetic Biology Software

  • 12:15-1:15 – Lunch

  • 1:15-3:15 – Technical Briefings – what software tools are being developed/used now in academia and industry

  • 3:15-3:45 – Coffee Break

  • 3:45-5:00 – Discussion – Roadmapping Nona for 2016-2017

The Nona Research Foundation (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) was created to broaden participation, increase access, and advance innovation in the design, distribution, documentation, maintenance, and use of open-source software and tools in the fields of synthetic biology and bio-design automation.
